- Skin and aesthetics. In women with photodamaged skin, ch-OSA® improved skin elasticity and reduced fine lines and roughness in a placebo-controlled trial. A useful adjunct before and after aesthetic procedures.
- Hair and nails. A 7.8% increase in hair cross-sectional area (visibly thicker hair) plus reduced brittleness of hair and nails, over 9 months versus placebo.
- Bone. In osteopenic women, ch-OSA® added to calcium and vitamin D3 significantly raised PINP, the marker of new type I collagen bone formation, while silicon curbs osteoclast-driven resorption.
- Dental and peri-implant. Evaluated as an adjunct in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in patients with peri-implantitis, supporting the collagen matrix around the implant.
