Bone is not calcium alone. It is collagen, mineralised.
About a third of bone by weight is organic matrix, and that matrix is largely type I collagen. It is the scaffold on which mineral is deposited. Feed the mineral without the scaffold and you are only doing half the job.
Four actives, one job
- ch-OSA®. Patented bioavailable silicon, activates the body's own collagen formation.
- Vitamin K2 (MK-7). Helps direct calcium to bone.
- Vitamin B12. Homocysteine metabolism, which affects collagen cross-linking.
- Inositol.
Clinical research
In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in osteopenic women (Spector et al., 2008), ch-OSA® increased markers of bone collagen formation and supported bone mineral density, alongside a daily calcium and vitamin D intake.
ch-OSA® is backed by nine randomised controlled trials over thirty years, published in peer-reviewed journals. Full publications available to practitioners on request.
